This is the blog about painting sailors, as I promised a few blogs ago. Having received a box full of seamen from Langton’s Miniatures for HMS Glasgow’s & HMS Lively’s crew, I resolved to paint them. But only after being interrupted by WW2 . . .

Here are a few close-ups of the British Infantry from my latest Fire and Move project. I have never painted WW2 Infantry before, so I hope these look okay. I am quite pleased with them.

I have a full British Infantry Company glued and based. This is a small guide to getting one ready for combat. I have selected one of the Platoons showing you them laid out in the raw and ready to paint.

I have worked on the Bunker Hill project for what seems an eternity now. I needed distraction after all those buildings, terrain, ships and now sailors. WW2 beckons to me again, so it's onto my new project: "Fire & Move - Infantry".

The battlefield of the Battle of Bunker Hill is pretty much complete. But the Royal Navy had a part to play in the action and I wanted to include HMS Glasgow and HMS Lively on the wargaming board. But where was I going to find sloops at the appropriate scale for our 6mm troops?
