Next Corps are Finished

07 November 2022

I have now finished Ewell's 2nd Corps of the Army of North Virginia, and both Hancock’s and Sickles Corps of the Potomac are both done and ready for action.

Here is Ewells 2nd Corps of the Confederate Army of North Virginia; using these division-sized bases means that Ewell's corps looks like the bases contain lots of men deployed for battle. Ewells Corp was about 20,600 men strong in 12 brigades.

On the Union side, we see Hancock’s 2nd Corps:

And Sickles 3rd Corps from the Union Army of the Potomac:

We can see again that the Union corps were smaller than the Confederate corps. Hancock’s corps was about 11,000 strong in 9 brigades, and Sickles Corps was around 10,000 men in 6 brigades.

I now have the first five corps across both armies at Gettysburg. So, I am moving on to prepare to build Heth's 3rd corps with 22,000 men on 6 bases, and Sykes's 5th corps with 11,000 men on 3 bases and Sedgewick’s 6th corps with 14,000 on 3 bases which together number about 25,000 men on 6 bases also.
