ACW Part 3 – A little bit more detail in my life

So, for ACW part three I didn’t get to the nut-brown washing, so I concentrated on the detail, tidying up and also painted bases. I proceeded to add various colour bags and bedrolls, facings stirrups etc. and the same for the rear of the Confederate and Union unit as shown below. There are still a few bits to add, as I always find it the same when you finish a section, you always end up seeing the bits you missed.

Anyway, the Confederate Infantry is looking better after this stage and as always, the details begin to make the units come together. The Union, however with their bluecoats are showing some promise too.

As we are progressing I am seeing some improvement in these figures, I hope you agree?

In Part 4 - I hope to add all of the bits that I forgot to add in this part. Put on the flags, apply the final Nut Brown wash and then flock the bases. All to be covered in a generous coating of matt varnish.
